When speaking to visitors at the Konark eco-retreat, Tourism Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi conveyed that every effort has been made by the department to provide tourists with once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Once they’ve landed, they can’t help but lose themselves in the picturesque settings, surrounded by nature. They will be left wanting more because of the hospitality and the variety of delectable foods. Several other dignitaries also attended the inaugural session at different eco-retreat sites across Odisha.

Following the success of the inaugural event in 2019 at Ramchandi Beach in Konark, the event was expanded to four additional locations outside of Konark in 2020, including Baliput (Satkosia), Bhitarkanika, Daringbadi, and Hirakud, with two additional extensions in Putsil (Koraput), and Pati (Sonapur Beach), in 2021.
